The theme of one of the greatest speeches that Ted Cruz gave to date was Freedom and Liberty. Not much of a surprise there, it is kind of his thing. The Honorable Ted Cruz did surprise many of the left wing infiltrators from the New York delegation by once again proving that they are morons and incapable of understanding the English language. Hot words and phrases used by the only man with honor and integrity at the convention sprinkled throughout his speech. "We have to do better",... and "Different Vision for the future..." Ted Cruz danced around the stage as well as around the real reason that he was invited. Even though Ted was invited without condition it was expected that he would endorse the Republican nominee Donald Trump. The Ted Cruz Return to Freedom and Liberty Vision -Education chosen by the families regardless of social and financial status -Healthcare that is affordable and portable not Obamacare -Taxes that do not reflect the need for the IRS -Internet that stays free and open to everyone and that is not monetized by Russia -Freedom means free speech, not PC safe spaces. -All religions are welcome to live in peace here together -Gay or straight we can all be here and live according to our own conscience -Americans need to be able to keep and bear arms -Every human life is precious and must be protected -The selection of supreme court justices that will follow the constitution -States that can choose their own destiny and choose to implement laws that suit their citizens. (Otherwise why have States at all) He went on to praise the growth of the freedom movement and declared that it is catching on with the young people around this nation. He praised the UK and their brave Brexit vote, thus implying that we need to remove from international bodies that would impose upon our sovereignty. This is proof that we as a people are rejecting an overreaching out of control big government. Launching himself around the bases of our expectations I found myself almost in tears thinking that this was the man that should be facing off against Clinton in November. This man layered point after point from the stump speeches that he has been running with from the beginning. He did this in the face of a booing crowd of rude, disgusting loudmouths from the New York delegation. (as seen above) The booing started later in the speech but he brought up the Smith family twice. The first time to a hushed quiet and secondly to a group of children from New York that needed validation from a man they all hate and said they didn't need anyway. Ted Cruz went on to stress the need for a wall that will protect our borders. He also expressed his disgust with an administration that would close Gitmo and allow un-vetted refugees into the United States. Doing this would most certainly put more Americans in harms way. He went down a path that describes our parties history, and by doing so crushes the narrative of the left. He praised the bravery of the first Republican President Abraham Lincoln for signing the emancipation proclamation. He praised the freedom fighters in the republican party that had the bravery to sign the civil rights act and defeat the Jim Crow Laws. Cruz went on to praise and hold up the family of one of the brave officers that was murdered Michael Smith. He singled this officer and his family because of Michael Smiths daughter Caroline. Caroline is about the same age as Ted's daughter Caroline. Her story of the last time that she saw her father alive was haunting and gut wrenching. He had asked her "what if this is the last time that you see me?" the story broke my heart and you could tell that it really hit home to Ted Cruz as well. He is a man that loves the police and loves his daughters, truly a wake up call to many that don't see that the murder of the police as a growing issue. (see Smith family below) The impatient crowd finally got what they wanted and that was to see what Ted was going to say about voting in November. Would he sell out his supporters and himself by openly endorsing Trump, much like Marco Rubio had done just moments earlier? No! Ted Cruz said (paraphrasing) Don't stay home in November, if you love our country and he love your children. Vote your conscience up and down the ticket For candidates that uphold the Constitution. This was a nod to those paying attention, a way to out the Trumpbots. If they get angry it PROVES that they are aware that Trump doesn't stand for the Constitution. This is were the booing started, and grew into chanting for Ted to endorse Trump. Ted laughed and said, "I appreciate the enthusiasm of the New York delegation. It is love the freedom that allowed millions to achieve their dreams." He then went on to praise his mom and his dad. His dad who came to this country with $100, his mother the first in her family to go to college. He closed with, "We must fight for freedom protect our God-given rights even with those that we don't agree with. So that even when we are old and Gray and our work is done. And we give those we love one final kiss goodbye. We will be able to say, freedom matters for something and I was part of something beautiful." he wound down the speech amidst booing and jeers from the crowd, (paraphrased from memory) "The case we have to make to the American people, the case each person in this room has to make it to the American people. Is that we will defend freedom and the Constitution. We will unite the party by standing together on our shared values and liberty. God bless you all and may God bless the United states of America." Ted Cruz, Class act to the very end. He proved that there are still a few honorable men in the GOP. I will stand by him and I am going to right now as you read this be one of the first to endorse him for President of the United States of America in the #2020HindsightElection. God bless you all!
